CH Elswicks  My Lady Braxton

DOB July 27 2001

Dam: CH Jacralias Scots Pride (GRB)
Sire: CH Wathamans Mighty Deegan

Braxton's Mom (CH Jacralias Scots Pride) was bred by Isabel Nicol of  Scotland.  Her name is Izzy and she is owned by Elsa Laplante of Vernon BC.   Izzy  had a famous sister named Remy "Jacrailas Femme Fatale" Remy's head study is used all over the world.   She was absolutely beautiful !   Remy died too young from cancer, a disease which is sadly affecting our canine companions more and more.

You can visit web sights for both of these breeders.... Click onto www.myrotties.com or www.jacraila.com which is a very entertaining sight to visit. Check out Eddies poems!   (have a Kleenex box ready)

Braxton came to us at the age of 8 weeks she was the perfect puppy all the way to Cold Lake (a 4 hour drive from the airport) but when she arrived at her new home, it didn't take her long to settle in&ldots;all of 10 minutes and our lives have never been the same since.

We decided to enter the world of showing when Braxton was 7 months. A friend of ours recommended us to a professional handler by the Name of Larry Clark.  The results were positive and together they obtained a Canadian Championship from the puppy classes.

Cold Lake Dog Show 3 days 6 shows and no Larry...he was attending another show so I decided to take a chance and handler her myself.  I entered her in 3 shows, by the end of the weekend we were going home with 2 BOS, 3 BPOB, 1 BOB, Best puppy in Group and a Group 4.  It was then between Braxton and a Doberman for Best puppy in show!  It was very exciting to stand there but the Doberman deservingly took the ribbon.  It was the best day and we will never forget it.

Braxton is now retired from the world of showing. We are working on a CD but do to the distances we have to travel to get to a trial it may be a slow event.  Braxton does not travel well which is also the reason why she was only lightly campaigned at provincial events.  Braxton participates in many local activities and we keep her occupied with exercise, games and pretty much everything we're doing when at home.  Rottweilers need to be kept busy with activities.
